My name is Luke Meyer, and I am currently a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at MIT with a planned graduation of December 2017. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with my Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering during August 2016.
Currently, I am working closely with Prof. Emanuel Sachs to develop a novel method of interconnecting solar cells in a low-stress, manufacturable way. On any given day, you can find me at my desk designing in Solidworks, in the machine shop (milling, drilling, lathing, soldering), or assembling my newest prototypes.
Looking toward to future, there are no limits to my interests in MechE. I have worked on everything from combustion and propulsion to energy systems to a newfound curiosity in manufacturing (additive, specifically). This website serves as an online glimpse into some of the projects that I have worked on both in my academic and industry positions.
If you would like to get in contact with me, feel free to shoot me an email and I would be happy to talk!
