Engineering and Design

I am currently an MS Graduate Student Researcher with the MIT Photovoltaics Lab (feel free to check out the lab website here to see all the amazing work we are doing!).  I am taking classes focused on design and manufacturing while participating in a full-time research project.  My project had been created with the intent of decreasing the capital expenditures (by up to 50% by the year 2030) of solar cells and modules through enabling thin wafer manufacturing.  My focus in this project targets de-risking key steps in the manufacturing process including tabbing/stringing.  This is led by Professors Ely Sachs and Tonio Buonassisi, Postdocs Sarah Wieghold, Liu Zhe, Ashley Morishige (now at 1366), and myself.

While I have been in graduate school, I have also been finishing up a joint project with the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility at Oak Ridge National Lab known as Project AME (Additive Manufactured Excavator).  Check out my Industry Experience tab to learn more!
